Every organ in our body plays a crucial role in maintaining homeostasis, which is the internal balance necessary for good health. All of our body’s systems—nervous, endocrine, digestive, immune, and circulatory—are interconnected. A disruption in one system can lead to a chain reaction affecting the others.
